We are now officially moving away from Pronto to Microsoft Teams for all instant messaging needs with students. Teams is now fully available and operational for this purpose. Pronto use will be discontinued June 1st. Currently active courses still have the Pronto option until the end of the class but new courses will have the ability to activate Teams instead.
Teams is tightly integrated into our communications platform with Microsoft that includes Outlook, Office, etc. and will provide more features and functionality to serve and engage students effectively.
Need some training or orientation? Sign up for our Teams workshops! This is the best place to get your questions answered. Although our focus groups and feedback from faculty and students who have been using Teams has been overwhelmingly positive, we want to ensure that you are prepared to use this tool effective and are aware of its features and now know to get support if needed.
The first workshop is scheduled for Thursday, May 16th at 2:00pm in the IT Classroom with a Teams option. Please contact the Help Desk or Amy Bowden to RSVP. We will be hosting a weekly workshop for the next few weeks to give you options to attend. More workshop dates will be posted here as they become scheduled.
